I wonder too https://canberra.naturemapr.org/users/8081. Since 2-3 years I observe an increase of re-sprout of previously treated woody weeds. Unfortunately, I don't have numbers, however, some FoMM regulars observe this too. I do wonder whether the use of dabbers is the reason. May be too little herbicide applied, maybe sponges contaminated with soil, maybe herbicide mix too old ... I wonder whether other groups who use dabbers observe the same? it is not only an ineffective use of volunteers' time, but also more herbicide required when treatment requires repeat particularly when re-sprout is multi-stemmed. I prefer spray bottles which I also need for frilling and I do have good experiences over the past 22 years with those.

@Tapirlord Thank you! I think I've updated the location correctly now! Not sure why it said Kambah?

Following discussions with @MattBeitzel, all carp uploaded to NaturMapr will be classified as Cyprinus carpio. Genetic studies indicate that there is very little difference amongst all wild carp, despite a huge range of phenotypes.

@PEdwards Good morning !

Please notice that you have here duplicated this Sighting: # 4697913 .
And have here added this sedge genus and species sighting within the wrong sub-category of: Grasses .
And have here used the name: _Abildgaardia vaginata_ R.Br. synonymous with
_Fimbristylis vaginata_ (R.Br.) Domin .

In your view which of these two synonyms has currency?

Have you read, studied and formed a view of this scholarly taxonomy update? :

• Larridon, I., Zuntini, A.R., Barrett, R.L., Wilson, K.L., Bruhl, J.J., Goetghebeur, P., Baker, W.J., Brewer, G.E., Epitawalage, N., Fairlie, I., Forest, F., Sabino Kikuchi, I.A.B., Pokorny, L., Semmouri, I., Spalink, D., Simpson, D.A., Muasya, A.M. & Roalson, E.H. (2021 January 4)
Resolving generic limits in Cyperaceae tribe Abildgaardieae using targeted sequencing.
Botanical Journal of the Linnean Society 196 : 163–187 .

I have not read this due to busy on other priorities .

The Council of Heads of Australasian Herbaria still has to get around to reaching a collective view on these name changes,
hence APC(–APNI) at the moment recognises _Abildgaardia vaginata_ R.Br. as the accepted name while APC(–APNI) has documented the change from the above reference to _Fimbristylis vaginata_ .

The Flora of NSW online PlantNet has accepted the name _Fimbristylis vaginata_ .
While in the 1993 printed Flora of NSW this species had the name _Abildgaardia vaginata_ .
