I will confirm that sighting's identification and then confirm this sighting's identification.

Much respect to Kevin @plants and no division thereof - his correct awesome long experience–based suggestion to you to check local gardens' exotic species.
Equally your own correct local site specific knowledge based suggestion that this sapling grows in a bush context and way. Hence suggesting a local indigenous species.
We need respect, plurality and love for diverse experiences–based points of view – i do not like the mostly pale–male authoritarian figure heads who have caused so much damage (topical at this time) .
