Appears to be a pretty healthy-looking Eastern Brown Snake (Pseudonaja textilis). Great find! Thanks for submitting!

Tropidechis carinatus

Two very similar looking species are found in this area, one harmless (Freshwater Snake (Tropidonophis mairii) and one highly venomous species, the Rough-scaled Snake (Tropidechis carinatus). This one is the latter, as it doesn't appear to have a loreal scale, which although out of focus on the side-on head shot, can just be made out to be absent.
