Hi Maren, from the photos I can't be sure which species this is (though it could be Myrmecia simillima) but it's almost certainly not Myrmecia fucosa, which seems to be a very uncommon species found mainly in SA and Victoria along the Murray-Darling basin, and there are no records in the Canberra region.
