Drama! Growling in the tree limbs high above this hollow (where at least one chick is being nurtured), alerted us to something unusual happening. A male gang gang was angry at an unknown object at his eye level. After some careful luck, hidden in the shadows I noticed a grey furry creature, gang gang sized, stretched out along a branch. More time and different camera angles, and we discovered a sugar glider in this gang gang nesting tree. We were then concerned for the welfare of the nestling so continued to watch and wait. Around 8.20 the female flew in, fed the young, flew off, then came back and settled into the hollow for the night. My fingers are fervently crossed that the gang gangs survive the night . . .
